Roxane Barton is a fine arts photographer and freelance photojournalist living in the greater Washington, D.C. region. She is also a fine arts major at the local state university -- decidedly nothing to brag about. She has published her photographic work in area newspapers and many a local have requested copies of her prints.
Roxane was born in the American Southwest, growing up on the streets of Alberquerque and spending time on the streets of other cities and towns, from Phoenix to Rock Springs, Wyoming during her too-short childhood. A mother of three and a husband to one, Roxane is currently a fine arts student pursuing her degree in photography. Currently, she lives with her husband and youngest child in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, splitting her time between school and her passion.
You will find Roxane and her trusty Canon taking in the controversy of area KKK rallies, visiting random sporting or charity events, and evaluating the latest roadkill's photogenic potential. It's what she does...
...and it's who she is.
